I was born in Chandler Arizona the of son an Arizona Rancher. I am the last in a long line of Baptist preachers on my mother’s side of the family, spanning 200 years.

I was saved at the age of 9 years and baptized in First Baptist Church of Chandler.

My father was an active Southern Baptist Deacon for 55 years. The church was the center of my family during my years at home. I served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a rifleman
and later in 1963 as a combat engineer during the war.

I have pastored Southern Baptist churches for 35 years, two churches in Arizona and 6 churches in California.

Most of my ministry has been bi-vocational so I have worked many jobs along with my ministry.  I have been a Mortician, Grief Councilor, Insurance Salesman, Living Trust Sales, Pre-need sales, Police Chaplin, Volunteer Fire Fighter, Executive Director for Saint Vincent De Paul, Housing Advocate for abused women and children and as a  Missionary on an American Indian reservation in Arizona.

I own and currently run my own Mobile Notary Signing business for 20 years.

I was widowed after 42 years of marriage 3 children 7 grand children, 2 great grand children. 

My hobbies are decoy duck carving, weight lifting, oil painting, horse back riding.  I attended Chandler High School, Northern Arizona University, Golden Gate  Theology Seminary.

My passion is loving the Lord and preaching His word. I am excited that the Lord has called me as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of El Sobrante.
